This was a basic, no-frills room at a good price, and it worked for me. The pillows were surprisingly comfortable, the AC worked well, the water pressure was strong, and the shower water was hot, not lukewarm. Internet and TV didn't work at all, though, and the front desk didn't seem to care or try to fix them. The room felt secure, and there are local eateries and small souvenir shops nearby. The larger, pricier conference hotels are within walking distance. I'd probably stay again.

On Sunday, 25 January 2026, I arrived before check-in and asked the front desk woman if I could leave my bags and return later. She said there was no room, but then let two other groups store theirs, leaving me sitting in the lobby with mine. I had a reservation, yet she checked in people without reservations ahead of me. She gave me a card for a room that used a key lock, so I had to haul my bags up and down again to get the right key. I travel often and have never been treated so rudely. She had a toddler with her at the front desk. I waited on my phone while she dealt with everyone else, then asked if she'd be fair and kind to me. She said it wasn't that drastic. I told her it was disrespectful to treat me that way for no reason, and she glared at me angrily. I said please and asked for no more than other customers had received. I couldn't understand the anger and hate toward me. I try to be a kind, respectful gentleman and rarely complain, but this was heartbreaking and unacceptable. She called it not that drastic, so I'm telling the story here. Beware of this physically beautiful lady; she was mean and evil. No one should treat customers, or anyone, so rudely.

The room wasn't worth the money, and it needs a full refurb. The shower flooded the bathroom, and the water swung between scalding hot and cold. A showerhead replacement could have fixed the flooding, but it took a day. The TV remote needed a code, the drapes were falling down, and none of the issues had been fixed when I came back that night after telling staff, who wrote them down. A nice receptionist did come to the room and fix the light and remote. The restaurant was mediocre. There are some nice hotels in the neighborhood. The funniest part was being charged a $75 damage deposit. These were all easy things for housekeeping to report, and I left the room in better shape than I found it.

The pool was nice, and the hotel is close to the beach, but the rest of our stay went badly. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived a day late. Before takeoff, we emailed the hotel twice to let them know, but got no response. They marked us as a no-show and canceled the booking, so we had to make a new reservation and pay again. The room felt old and rusty and wasn't very clean. The floor needed more cleaning, the windows weren't soundproof so the room was loud, and our towels weren't changed daily. When we pulled the door handle a little harder than usual, it broke, and we had to switch rooms.

I only booked this place because it was the only option that night, and I wouldn’t stay again. The room was dusty and unclean, the shower was already soaked when I arrived, and there was crusty stuff on the blanket, so I slept on a towel. The adjoining doors let in a lot of noise, and next door guests woke me up suddenly, screaming and crying. I’d spend extra to stay somewhere else.
