The apartment layout worked really well, and I loved that it had a washer and dryer. Cooking for six was tricky because there weren't enough large pots and pans with lids. We dreaded using the shower stall. The water couldn't be regulated, and the showerhead's narrow hole made the spray so strong it hurt our skin. We had to make sure the curtain covered the entrance so the water wouldn't soak it.

I was in town for a conference and still managed to get some beach time. The spot feels like a little suburban neighborhood tucked away, but the beach and Isla Verde festivities are within walking distance. Lyzanne let me take a much-needed shower before check-in, and the sweet woman who watches over the place was really helpful. She pointed out that I could walk instead of taking Uber everywhere, though Uber is super cheap. I loved seeing the lizards in the morning. The apartment was clean and comfy, and I'd definitely recommend it.

A quick heads-up about the cats would help. One kept trying to get into our room, and I'm highly allergic. Otherwise, this was a spotless, comfortable, welcoming place in a handy location: we could walk to the beach, Panadería España, a gas station, and a pharmacy, and it was close to the airport. Safety clearly matters here, and we felt good staying. We'd come back on our next Puerto Rico trip.

The host and staff were kind and stayed in touch, and the price felt fair for an efficiency in San Juan. We had a comfortable bed, good AC, and excellent Wi-Fi. The modern apartment was clean and in a quiet, safe part of Isla Verde, with beaches, the city, and a few good restaurants close by.

We needed a place for our last night on the island, and this worked perfectly for two. It was quiet and private, simple and clean, and so close to the airport. The location was ideal.
