The hotel is beautiful, and the location is handy if you need to reach the airport quickly: about five minutes away, with a car rental two minutes away. But there were water bugs getting into the room through the fountain by the door, and it wasn't clean. The sheets and towels were dirty, and housekeeping hadn't cleaned the room thoroughly. I was disappointed by the pests and cleaning. Could work for a budget stay near the airport.

We lost a large part of our only full day in San Juan while being moved from room to room. On top of that, at around 3:00 a.m. someone tried to get into our room using the lockbox, which was alarming. I tried through multiple avenues to get a partial refund, but they ignored me. We'd paid for a deluxe king studio, but first got a double queen room with half-eaten pizza left on the microwave. That room and the next one were both in a neighbouring property, not the one shown on Booking.com, and neither had access to the pool in the listing photos. After I asked about this, we were moved to a king room in the adjacent property. Its bed creaked loudly whenever either of us moved, the bathroom floor was filthy, and the shower and toilets couldn't be used because the drains were blocked. The next day came another move, this time to what seemed to be the site's most inferior room. It was much smaller, had no windows you could see out of, no kitchen sink, and no hot water. It was clearly below the standard of what we'd booked and paid for. The property doesn't match its Booking.com photos and felt misleading. Cleanliness, room quality, and communication were all far below an acceptable standard. I wouldn't recommend it or stay again.

The rooms are roomy and modern, and the price is reasonable for Isla Verde. It's a small self check-in hotel, a short ride from the airport and a brisk walk to the beach, so it gives you a good option without Isla Verde rates. Worked well for a getaway or a few friends together.

There are little pools to cool off in, plus plenty of outdoor space to relax, and the room was clean. Check-in was easy too. We had a great start to our vacation here, and the place has a really cool vibe. Just plan ahead for parking since it's on the surface streets.
