The host was incredibly rude and, in my view, shouldn't be in customer service. She needs a management company to come in and train her. I also doubt the other five-star reviews are genuine, they seem like they could be from friends or family, or bought. This unit advertises itself as a Boutique Hotel focused on Luxury Vacation rentals, but there was nothing luxurious about it. It lacked basics like shower wash rags, bath mats, and a toaster oven. The coffee pot and the rest of the unit were filthy, as were high-touch common areas like doorknobs and light switches. There was trash in front of the house and along the path beside it when we arrived.

The washer and dryer in the listing could only be used once for free, then there was a fee. The location was convenient and the water was hot, but the stay still left me very dissatisfied, and I wouldn't return. The host didn't meet the advertised standards for amenities, rules, or photo quality. There was nothing luxurious about it. I hope she starts by meeting the high standards she sets for herself, especially for cleanliness. When I arrived, the supposed cleaning crew had just finished, but surfaces were still dirty: the refrigerator, counters, outside area, couch, and bathroom. There was hair in the sink and shower, dirty mirrors, and faucets that clearly hadn't been cleaned. I had to clean the bathroom myself before I felt comfortable using it. The bathroom door didn't close properly, so there was no privacy. I took photos on arrival but hadn't planned to use them because the stay was short and I wanted to give the host the benefit of the doubt. I gave her private feedback instead, and still left a five-star review despite all this. She later left a spiteful review about that private feedback. The host also sent multiple messages during my trip and seemed irritated if I didn't respond quickly. Being pressured to check in constantly like a full-time employee isn't ideal when you're on vacation.

The location was great for photos, and I got great pictures of my girl with the background. It's close to the airport, but otherwise it was a terrible place to rest. The house looked good in photos, but felt like a catfish in person. The main living room bathroom had no ventilation or windows. Its huge glass door wouldn't shut all the way because the wall was the wrong size, leaving no privacy for using the bathroom. We had to point TWO fans at the door just to get some ventilation. Outside, the sink and stove were awful, filthy, and poorly cared for, like they were only there for the pictures. High voltage panel boxes beside an outdoor shower felt like a HUGE SAFETY hazard, and we didn't feel safe using the shower. The host said a cleaner was there when we landed, so we couldn't check in early. But when we got in, the place still felt dirty. Door handles hadn't been wiped, and fingerprints were visible on chrome handles. After the cleaner left, we had to get paper towels and clean the bathrooms and kitchen ourselves before we could use them properly. The host said we could use the washer and dryer for ONE LOAD ONLY, which was beyond me. I should be able to wash clothes. For a longer Puerto Rico vacation, I wouldn't recommend this unless you're willing to go to a cleaner or hand wash your clothes. Just an all-around bad experience.

We were six people and asked politely for a second set of keys so we could split up. We only had one set, and the host got hostile and nasty about the request. She was impossible to deal with and wouldn't take feedback. She completely ruined my daughter's 21st birthday. I could and should have checked out, but the trip was so short that I put up with the inconvenience. I'm sure Airbnb would have refunded me in full if I'd left. I can't recommend this under any conditions. If I could rate zero, I would. The location was great, but the unit was filthy and we had to clean it ourselves. The listing didn't clearly explain which amenities were available, and there were ants all over the bathroom, shower, and kitchen. I took videos of the dirt.
