Residence Inn by Marriott San Juan Isla Verde

The planes taking off nearby are loud and frequent since the hotel is right next to the airport, but it didn't bother us. The seven-minute Uber ride to the airport was handy and cost about $10. The pool is large and has a nice area for kids. Breakfast was free and had lots of choices. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the beach was only a few minutes away on foot. The hotel supplied chairs and umbrellas to take along. Restaurants were walkable, with a Starbucks across the street in the el San Juan hotel area. We got a $22 daily credit, with $10 for the market, where we bought water, juice, and bug spray, and $12 for the restaurant or bar. The bar food tasted great, so we were happy to stay by the pool, though the drinks and food took a while and cost a bit much. Beautiful hotel in a really good spot.

The casino staff were attentive, the coffee was amazing, and there's plenty of parking. The pizza restaurant is delicious, and the tiramisu was amazing too. The December Christmas season activities were a fantastic experience, with great music, a fun vibe, and musicians. It's always good to go back.

The pool was a highlight for all of us, with a setup that worked for adults and kids. My children could have fun while I relaxed and enjoyed my birthday. We stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott San Juan Isla Verde from December 30, 2025, to January 6, 2026, and celebrating there made the trip especially meaningful for my family and me. Everything we needed was close by, including restaurants, shops, and the airport, but the area still felt peaceful enough for a getaway. The hotel was clean, well kept, and family friendly. Our room had plenty of space and was comfortable, with a thoughtful layout for relaxing together. From arrival on, the staff were welcoming, attentive, and professional. Their kind, respectful help made us feel at home and cared for. This stay exceeded my expectations. Thanks to the whole team for making our family vacation and my birthday celebration so special. I'd highly recommend the hotel and will choose it again when I visit San Juan.

I really enjoyed this hotel and would happily stay again. The room was spotless, the staff were friendly, and the beach was a short walk away. The location was great, though I meant to say the drive to the hotel was short too. My one gripe was the rule against taking the free breakfast out of the dining area. I like bringing breakfast upstairs for my wife and me to eat in our suite, so she can have a more relaxed vacation morning. I've never run into that policy at a hotel before. Even so, our experience was really good.
