The Beach House

We went with friends and had a great evening at Emigrante. Héctor, Neil and Erick looked after us so well. The tuna tartare with malanga chips was fresh and tasty, and the “longaniza Alcor is a must if you like trying local flavors. We also loved the Isla Verde Gin. It's a hidden gem in Isla Verde. The hotel is close to the airport, across from the beach, and about a 15-minute drive from Old SJ. The room, staff, and service were all great. If you're in San Juan, make sure you visit Emigrante.

Arnuldo was so kind and informative when he checked us in and out. Our room and bathroom were small but clean, and there’s an outdoor pool. The breakfast buffet was simple, but worth the lower price if you prepay. The location was great, with lots of places to eat nearby and the beach entrance across the street. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The front desk team was amazing, and check-in was quick. The pool area was relaxing, and the beach is easy to get to from this well-located hotel. The room was clean, though the curtain had stains and the room felt very dark. The lobby bar was convenient to stop at, but we got no service there. I’d say it works for a night or two before or after a cruise, but not for a longer stay.

The room cleaning team was a bright spot. They were kind and approachable. But the check-in and breakfast service left me feeling that staff aren't getting the training they need to create a good experience or bring guests back. The hotel looks worn and tired, and most of it is overdue for an update. We chose it for our last night in PR because it’s so close to the airport. I assumed a Wyndham property would be fine and didn’t check reviews, which was a big mistake. Breakfast at 8AM was so basic and unappetizing that we waited and ate at the airport instead. Customers and staff deserve better. There are better options along this street until things improve.
