Hotel Villa del Sol

The front desk ladies went out of their way to help me rent a car for a day trip to the Caraballi Rainforest, and explained what driving in Puerto Rico was like. Having the rental car on site made things easy. I understand Spanish but don't feel confident speaking it, so I appreciated being able to communicate with the English-speaking staff. My daughter and I stayed at this charming boutique hotel in Isla Verde, Carolina, Puerto Rico, for a destination wedding. We needed somewhere comfortable and welcoming to sleep, get ready, and take breaks between festivities, and it worked really well. The hotel was open and bright, with festive Christmas decorations that made it feel warm. Sitting quietly outside by the pool in the evenings was a lovely way to unwind. The rooms and shared areas were spotless and well maintained. You could hear planes occasionally because it's near the airport, but the noise didn't last long or bother us. Everyone working there was kind and accommodating. I'd happily stay again, and recommend it to people attending events or looking for a cozy, well located place in Isla Verde.

The people were friendly and very helpful, and we'll definitely come back. It's a clean, updated, affordable hotel run locally, with a pool and an easy walk to the beach and all sorts of local and American restaurants. The airport is nearby, but we couldn't hear planes from our room.

Good Wi-Fi and a handy location, about three minutes from the airport and five from the beach. The pool was really nice, and there's a wide second-floor balcony with tables and chairs to relax on. You can hear planes taking off, so keep that in mind if you need quiet to fall asleep. Very like

The staff were welcoming, courteous, friendly, and accommodating, and the AC worked great. The hotel's facade and public areas give it a quaint, pretty boutique B&B feel. It's right near the airport and at the entrance to the Isla Verde strip, with lots of bars and popular US chains. The rooms, though, show wear. The wooden doors are warped, leaving visible gaps, and there's no bathroom extractor for unwanted odors. Furniture has chipped edges and stains, and although the bed was comfortable, it felt old and weak. Still, it's a very nice hotel that I'd recommend.
