It's a very quiet place to recharge, and the pool is great. The rooms could use updating, but they're nice, and the place works well for families. Check-in runs until 6 pm; if you arrive later, you can check in by phone. There isn't anyone on site after 6.

It took me a while to find the place, but I was glad I did. The owner and receptionist were so kind, and the property is beautiful and well kept, with an amazing view. It feels homey instead of like a corporate hotel, and it's a great place to get away and really relax. I only wish I'd stayed more than one night.

The views were spectacular, and everything was very clean. We had two king beds and two floors connected by stairs, which was a nice surprise. The beds were really comfortable, and the room also had a fridge, a small stove, and a coffee maker. The hotel supplied excellent coffee. I'd highly recommend it.

We paid $ 358.00 for three days, and the place was a dump. We never saw a worker during our stay, there was no front desk, and nobody checked whether we were okay or needed anything. The towels had yellow stains, there was no soap or shampoo, and the stove was rusty and looked like it hadn't been cleaned or used in years. Inside, things looked decent at first, but when I tried the light switch, none of the lights worked except two little lamps on the end tables. Our check-in was set for 3pm. We got there at 12:30 after driving 3hrs, and the gate was shut and the place looked abandoned. I called the number posted on the gate to ask about checking in early and was told the earliest would be 2:30. When we did check in, I had to call that same number again to get a code for the lockbox with the room key. This place SUCKED. Please don't waste your time or money. Places like this make PUERTO RICO look bad, and it isn't. P.r has plenty of beautiful places to visit, but Mountain lodge isn't one of them. Mountain Lodge should be Closed immediately. God bless Puerto Rico and its people and places.

We came with a group of 18, and the staff did a wonderful job making sure we had what we needed. They even catered dinner on our last night. The views of the Luquillo area are spectacular, and the mtn lodge was just right for a comfortable place to sleep. If you're after spa treatments or tennis courts, this isn't the place. Highly recommended! I've seen people posting about different problems. Sometimes a language barrier can make a simple issue feel much worse than it is. Not everyone speaks English, so be patient when talking with Puerto Ricans. It can come across like they're being [insert your feeling] when that's not necessarily the case.
