The Serene House Bed & Breakfast

The location made beach days easy, with great beaches and restaurants just 10-15 minutes away. They also had beach towels and cooler bags ready for us. My wife and I spent four days in one of the casitas, and it was spotless, comfortable, and had lovely views and relaxing spots around it. The house really lives up to its name. We found the peace and quiet we were looking for, and it’s without a doubt the best place I’ve stayed in Puerto Rico. Pablo made us feel welcome and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. His cooking is just as good as his hospitality, so don’t skip breakfast. And be sure to say hello to Lu, the resident cat and property guardian, when you’re there.

Breakfast on the terrace was a favorite part of my stay. I loved having coffee there each morning, looking over the property with the Caribbean in the distance. The pool and the private deck outside my room also got plenty of use. Hummingbirds visited outside my window every day, and at night I fell asleep to the sounds of nature, including Coquis. I’ve traveled a lot, and the Serene House is one of the most memorable places I’ve stayed. Pablo and Maribel are wonderful hosts, and the property they’ve created feels magical. I stayed four nights and have nothing but good things to say. Getting there from the San Juan airport in my rental car was easy. My room was pristine, the bed was really comfortable, and it had plenty of towels, toiletries, yoga mats, and a mini fridge. Pablo’s breakfasts were delicious. Traveling solo as a woman, I felt extremely safe, and I can’t wait to come back someday. If you need a peaceful place in PR to relax and recharge, stay here.

That living room was my favorite spot. We’d love to have a room like that at home. The care in every detail really showed, from the lovely welcome and room decor to the peaceful shared spaces. And breakfast was Michelin-star quality. Serene House is easily one of the best places we’ve stayed. Thank you, Maribel and Pablo, for being such wonderful hosts!

We’ll be back. Pablo and Mirabel showed us around their beautiful property, suggested local restaurants, and spent time chatting with us. They were such fabulous hosts. The rooms feel luxurious, the views are unmatched, and you’re surrounded by nature sounds all day and night. Pablo’s breakfast was a highlight, so delicious, and you can tell how much care goes into those meals. The Serene House was an incredible bed and breakfast, absolutely a 10/10 from us.
