I had a great solo stop here while traveling across that side of the island on my way to Lajas for a Bio Bay tour. The small twin room was just right for what I needed, not uncomfortable, and everything felt clean and welcoming. Staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke both English and Spanish. The hotel’s full of history, and interactive QR codes around the building explain some of what you’re seeing. It’s in a great spot too. I loved walking over to Vale La Pena cafe for a delicious breakfast before heading back to San Juan. I’d happily stay again.

The rooms are tiny, with barely enough space to walk around the bed, but they have lots of character and history. We loved being so close to the old city center, plaza, and great nearby restaurants. It was a handy base for bio bay trips or days at the beach, and parking was easy with enough spaces. We had a wonderful time.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the stay feel especially welcoming. Our room was spotless and comfortable, and I had a wonderful time. Highly recommend!

The front desk and stateroom service were excellent. Many places are within walking distance, including Yagüez Theater, Plaza Colón, the Mayor Office, bars, restaurants, the church, Ricomini Bakery, Papas Pizza, and shops. Mayagüez Mall, CAAM University, and other cities are a short drive away.

The rooms are a bit cramped, like España "hostales", but the location is excellent and everything was super clean. The employees are excellent too. The people who work here are the best part and make all the difference.
