The location is hard to beat, right in the middle of the action in San Juan, and the old building has lots of space. I liked having coffee on the huge balcony, and the street was relatively quiet for such a central spot. The AC worked in the rooms, the place felt secure, the bed was very soft, and there’s a huge TV. Two supermarkets are fairly close, too. The kitchenette has a fridge, toaster, microwave, kettle, and a few other bits, though no hobs. Getting there was a hassle because the elevator was broken. I had to carry my suitcase up around 4-5 steep flights on my own. The stairs aren’t for everyone, and it was especially uncomfortable without AC outside the rooms. The bathroom has a raised step just outside that’s easy to trip over. Its lights switch off about every 30 seconds, and the motion sensor didn’t notice movement well enough, even while I was showering. The place was quite clean, but not completely, and felt a bit run down with some odd design choices. There’s a big gap under the front door, so you hear everything in the hallway. It’s an old building, so maybe that’s to be expected. When I arrived, my key was in the wrong lockbox. I called the host and she picked up straight away, and she seemed very nice. She doesn’t speak English, just something to keep in mind. I didn’t hear from her again over the three days except to ask for a review, though I think she would have helped if something else went wrong. All in all, it was OK.

Our hosts answered all our questions and gave us great nearby shopping and coffee recommendations. The room was charming and clean, with the most comfortable bed. It’s a beautiful building in the heart of Old San Juan. We hope to return to Puerto Rico and stay at 310 Guest House again. Thanks so much for being so hospitable ❤️

The location makes it easy to walk just about anywhere in Old San Juan, and the room looked clean and new. Having a full kitchen was a real plus. We had a rental car and managed to park on the street right outside, though parking there is usually difficult. It can get noisy at night because it’s so central. Saturday’s cars and party noise kept me awake, but Sunday night was much quieter.

We spent 6 nights here and felt right at home. The apartment was amazing, with a great balcony view that we enjoyed while relaxing and watching people go by. It’s easy to walk all over Old San Juan from this very central spot. The staff, especially Marly, were helpful and accommodating throughout. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the old San Juan.
