Casa Magdalena Unit 1 Three Bedroom

The apartment felt cozy and homey, like the first place a newly married couple might live. Everything was clean and private, and the neighborhood was very quiet, with friendly, respectful people. I stayed at Casa Magdalena for five days, and the owner was friendly and attentive to our needs. Old San Juan, Condado beach, Distrito T-Mobil, and El Choli were all 5-10 minutes away. I definitely plan to return.

I spent three days here while attending a law enforcement conference at Colegio Univeristario de San Juan, on my first visit to PR. The house and neighborhood gave me a much more local feel than the usual tourist areas in San Juan, and I loved waking up to the rooster outside. The unit was clean and tidy, and the Wi-Fi was free. It's a good budget option for a vacation stay. I may come back to the island someday, and I'm glad this was my first impression.

We had a great birthday trip, and I'd come back. The place was lovely and very clean, with service that went well beyond what we expected. When our phone GPS wasn't working as we arrived in San Juan in the middle of the night, they stayed in touch and helped us out. We spent eight days here in February, using the location as a central base for visiting forts, forests, beaches, and cultural events.

We left and had to book a more expensive hotel because the marijuana smell coming through the air conditioner made staying here dangerous for our health conditions. Even around 2:30 a.m., someone was smoking outside our window. The next day, our rental car had fingerprints across the windshield and what looked like a fist dent on the front right panel. When we finally got through to someone, they refused a refund, saying it was up to them despite what we'd been through. We'd booked and prepaid four days while in Puerto Rico for a family funeral. On arrival, nobody answered the house contact numbers, and there was no parking. We were told the washing machine and living room fan didn't work. Those weren't major issues by themselves, but then we heard noises in the evening and smelled marijuana. Be careful. From my experience, this was awful, and you may not get your money back.
