The pool is a great place to hang out on Saturday and Sunday, and the bartenders and DJs are awesome. We liked the rooms, the restaurant, and the pool's infinity view too. But there's nothing scheduled during the week. Even over Memorial Day weekend, there were no activities that day. We tried bringing a friend staying at another hotel, but were turned away because the hotel said it was at capacity, even though the pool was empty. After talking it through with staff, we paid $50 each for day passes, with no discount for already being hotel guests. Management could use better ideas to bring in guests and make this a true “Adults Only” hotel. Let's make it different!

My clients had a great time exploring Puerto Rico. They went snorkeling, saw Old San Juan, tried local food, and even rode jet cars on the water. They gave the trip an 8.5/10 and are already thinking about coming back to see more of the island. They especially liked the welcoming staff and ocean views from their room at Condado Ocean Club in San Juan. They did notice a few parts of the hotel needed attention, though the team kept their room clean and made them feel looked after. Daniely was a joy to work with throughout the process. As a travel advisor, it's rewarding to see clients come home with such good memories. Puerto Rico has a nice mix of culture, food, adventure, and relaxation for couples, friends, or anyone looking for fun.

The staff were easy to talk with and very courteous, and they kept the pool area neat by clearing away used glasses and towels. It was clear which chairs were free. In fall, the pool only gets sun for a few hours, around 10:00 to 14:00 during our stay, but the water was warm. Our ocean-view room was much better than I expected, with a floor-to-ceiling window and a stunning view. It was spacious and laid out well. A rocky break keeps this stretch of beach fairly private for COC guests. The hotel is in Candado, between the airport and Old San Juan, a convenient base for tourists. Our Uber from the pier cost about $15 in the rush of people embarking and disembarking, and took around 10 minutes. With Amex Hotel Collection perks, this is a phenomenal deal and I wouldn't look elsewhere. Even without them, I'd highly recommend it. We'll stay here next time we're in San Juan. For a pre-cruise stay, I'd choose Candado or the airport over Old San Juan. Cruises may be listed as leaving from Viejo, but about half the time they use piers on the marina's south side, so Candado is a good midpoint. You won't know which side until a day or so before departure.

We booked a day cabana for a bachelorette group of nine. The chicken tenders platter and chips with dips were good, and all the dips tasted fresh. Drinks, food, and service were great. The pool is on the small side and gets crowded, though it's right by the beach. I'd recommend it.

The staff greeted us every time we walked through the doors, and the pool was always clean with a lovely view. There's a little path down to the beach. We rented a car but hardly used it since everything was walkable. Valet was $30 a day, cheaper than the place across the street, and it was reassuring to know the car was safe. A couple of times we put up the do-not-disturb sign instead of having housekeeping, and they called to check if we needed anything before 4:30. I've never had another hotel do that, and it was a great touch. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but it looked lovely. We had a wonderful honeymoon, and my husband didn't want to go home.
