DREAMCATCHER by DW - ADULTS ONLY

We loved how close we were to both the beach and restaurants. The neighborhood felt local, peaceful, and completely safe. The communal areas were so tranquil and surrounded by a feeling of nature, whether we were having coffee or breakfast or coming back to the room at night. We’d love to stay here again.

The hotel was beautiful, and we’d really been looking forward to this first stop on our honeymoon. But when we got back from dinner, there was no running water, and it stayed that way until morning. We couldn’t shower, brush our teeth, or flush the toilets. The room was basically uninhabitable. We tried to make the best of it, but it wasn’t the start we’d hoped for. We also wished the hotel had communicated better or offered even a partial refund. Neither happened.

The friendly, gracious staff made such a difference. Luz welcomed us at the front desk, and Amanda and Eddie cooked breakfast. Everyone was helpful and engaging, and clearly wanted us to enjoy our stay. We stayed three nights in the Palm suite. The hotel feels like an artist’s haven, with wall art, statues on the garden terrace, decorative lanterns, romantic lighting, and beautifully tended plants. The beach is just two blocks away. We parked our rental car on the street out front without any problems. The room was comfortable, with a large private balcony where we could sit at night and listen to the coquis. The one thing it lacked was a dresser or drawers for clothes. There was only an open shelf and coat hangers.

My wife and I had an incredible five days in San Juan at DREAMCATCHER. The cafe food was really good, and the staff were lovely. Our room was a bit dark, but with so much sunshine outside, it didn’t bother us. We’re already looking forward to returning.
