Apartamentos do Parque

From apartment 1A, the ocean view was fantastic. The apartment was very nice and clean, and the swimming pools were good, with more than enough seats around them. No need to put down a towel to reserve a spot. The beach is less than five minutes away down the stairs, and the supermarket is very close too.

We went in October and stayed at Apartamento Do Parque, on the top floor with a great ocean view. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. I’d recommend this hotel to friends, couples and families.

The staff were all really good, from the Filipino couple running the pool and cafe to reception and the cleaning team. The rooms are airy and spacious, and they were tidied most days. It’s a quiet hotel spread across two buildings, with the larger one by the main pool and a smaller one further along. The views from the rooms are all over the pools and sea. Some lower apartments have their own little garden, while the rest are higher up with balconies. There are two pools and a small cafe. The pool is open 9am-8:00pm, and the cafe runs 9-6. Prices at the cafe are reasonable, for example a hot dog, chips and salad with a large beer costs about 9 euros. It’s a nice place in a quiet spot overlooking the ocean, and a really good base for exploring the town and area.

The setting is handy for a beach day, and there are restaurants nearby. It’s a little outside town, though an Uber ride in takes about 12 minutes and costs very little. Back at the property, the two roomy pools and good-value snack bar are a plus. The rooms feel a bit dated, but they’re cleaned every day, and the staff are friendly and helpful.
