The place is attractive, but there's still quite a bit that needs fixing. The kitchen sink and tap were unbelievably dirty, the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. It seemed like someone may have cleaned the rest of the house but skipped the sink and tap. Everything else was fine, but hygiene really matters to me.

The peace and quiet made this feel like a little paradise, and Luna loved being able to come along too. I wish more places welcomed our four-legged friends like this. We had a memorable two-night family weekend at Casas do Ermo, and I’m grateful to everyone there for making it so enjoyable. Dr. Miguel, Daniela and Ana Maria were all exceptional, and the whole team made us feel very welcome. The houses were tastefully decorated, very clean and carefully thought through. There’s a heated indoor pool as well as an outdoor one. I can’t say much more than thank you to everyone at Casas do Ermo.

The garden was beautifully cared for, and the grounds have a striking, unusual setting with a lot of potential. But the place felt neglected, and the facilities were seriously inadequate. The indoor pool was too dirty to use, the outdoor pool wasn't cleaned, and the air conditioning failed in most accommodations. The water was shut off without explanation several times, so we couldn't shower, and some beds were dirty when we arrived. Reception was disappointing too: staff weren't friendly or professional, and even asked us for payment screenshots. Pool and barbecue areas are shared, something that wasn't made clear during booking. It's a shame given the potential, but in its current condition I strongly advise against staying here.

I don't usually use this channel to leave a low rating, but our weekend booking for 12 people was a terrible experience. The rooms were dirty and covered in cobwebs, the pool wasn't cleaned until the second day, and there was broken glass in the shared area. For the price, it fell well short, and I wouldn't recommend it.
