It was hard to leave this peaceful place. The garden is lush and full of life, and the pool and little private spots to relax make it especially nice in spring and summer. Even with other guests in the house, the layout gave us the feeling we had the place to ourselves. After traveling all over Portugal, this was easily the most beautiful place we stayed. Silvio was such a thoughtful, kind host. We really didn’t want to go, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Tucked away in a perfect spot, with an extremely nice garden and a very friendly owner. Great for visiting Guimaraes and Braga, both beautiful cities. We had a relaxing jacuzzi session and a little swim, and came away recharged. There are nice local restaurants to enjoy, and more besides.

Casa da benfeitoria has been our best accommodation so far. The house is charming and so relaxing, with so much care and attention put into everything. It felt like a dream home, a little piece of heaven, with Silvio looking after it. He made our stay memorable, always smiling, generous, and helpful. He spoiled us with wine, treats, and fresh eggs. We enjoyed ourselves so much and highly recommend it to anyone looking for inner peace.

After nearly two weeks traveling through Portugal, it felt like we’d finally found paradise. Silvio Lopez is the perfect host, the rooms are beautifully appointed, and the gardens really are as amazing as the photos. Five stars don’t feel like enough, it deserves at least 20, maybe 100. Highly recommend.

The stone buildings are lovely, thoughtfully designed, and comfortable, all set in a lush green garden. Silvio manages it all and is delightful. Highly recommended.
