ANITAHOUSE

Liuzinho House is clean, tidy, and comfortable, with spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and everything we needed for a few days. The photos match the ground-floor apartment, which has a very small back terrace. Both bedrooms face that area, so passing cars are less noisy. There are cafés and restaurants nearby, and parking is available close by. It’s a 15-minute walk to the centre of Gaia and 20 minutes to the port's port wine cellars. Bus stops on the street behind connect to central Porto. A shopping centre and several large shopping areas are a five-minute drive away. Luis was very attentive. Check-in was contactless and easy with the code he sent before we arrived. We stayed five days and mentioned a few things to him that might help: there was very little toilet paper, no kitchen roll, and very few small dessert spoons. Hooks in the bathroom would give us somewhere to hang towels. The air felt very humid and stuffy, so a dehumidifier could help in winter on rainy days. A doormat at the entrance and an umbrella stand would also help keep wet shoes and umbrellas off the floor, especially since we had a couple of rainy days. It might be useful to have oil, salt, sugar, and coffee machine capsules for guests who stay a few days and use the kitchen for breakfasts or dinners. This is a good base for a few days in Porto if you’re fine staying outside the centre, as public transport connects you to it.

Luis was very helpful, and we had everything we needed in the very clean three-bedroom apartment upstairs. We’d definitely return if we get the chance.

The house was practical, clean, and nicely decorated, with a well-equipped kitchen in a very quiet area. We’d stay again.

A perfect place to stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone. Luis is a lovely host.
