We had the smallest room, which was still an enormous one-bedroom apartment. The balcony looked out over the golf course, and the nearby restaurants, though part of the Marriot complex, served some really great food. The staff were all very friendly. The decor felt soft and welcoming, and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped and worked perfectly for us. I could have stayed in the shower all day because of the strong pressure, though getting the temperature right was tricky. The hottest setting was VERY hot, so be careful. The large double bed was very comfortable if you like a firm mattress. I prefer mine a little softer, but my mother found it great for her bad back, so it’s really down to preference. We’ll definitely consider staying again.

We spent 10 nights in a new, clean three-bedroom condo. It’s advertised as fully furnished and equipped, but I’d say it’s only half equipped. If you plan to use the kitchen and washing machine, bring dishwasher detergent, washing-up liquid, laundry detergent, scouring pads, a sponge, dishcloths, paper towels and Kleenex. The bathrooms are very small, and the wooden towel racks took up so much room that we had to remove them to move around. Soap and shampoo dispensers sit on the shower floor. Face towels weren’t available, even though we asked. The beach is at least a 20-minute walk away, and there are no signs from the resort showing the way. Although it’s supposedly part of the Marriot, this is a separate entity with no food or beverage on site. We first went to the resort for check-in, only to be told we were in the wrong place. We had to drag our cases over cobblestones for 300 yards, with no electric people carriers available. Hard to believe for a 5 star hotel with a golf course. There’s no welcome folder with instructions for the condo systems or restaurant suggestions, either. One of the air con remotes was set to heat, and all the remotes need to be in the same mode for the system to work. I figured that out with Google. On our first night, in a one-bedroom unit, a loud hammering noise came every four minutes. We were told the next day it was OK. You can also lock yourself out on the balcony if you shut the doors. The place is new but needs serious fine tuning. Reception staff are very nice, though I got the sense they’re still learning too.

A great place, and the staff are even better. Everyone we met was really helpful and nice.
