We were disappointed that there was no shower room available after checkout. We left at 11am, but our flight wasn't until 20:25 that night. We'd enjoyed the pool earlier, but before the journey home we had to make do with a quick dip and changing in the pool bar toilets. Perhaps the hotel could look into this for the future. Even so, we had a lovely four-night, five-day Easter break at Oceanus Aparthotel, travelling as two adults and one child. We'd always stayed near the new or old town before, but wanted somewhere more peaceful, and Olhos D'Agua was a good choice for a relaxed break. We both agreed we'd book again. The staff we met were friendly and helpful when we needed them. The location was handy, with lots of restaurants just minutes away. The beach is less than a five-minute walk, and the beachfront has restaurants and bars. You can reach the beach, restaurants and bars around Olhos D'Agua within a 20-minute walk. On two occasions we took local taxis to the old town, for under €10 each way, so the livelier old and new towns are still accessible. The rooms are basic, but had everything we needed for self-catering. A supermarket is two minutes away. We made our own breakfasts and lunches and ate out every evening, with plenty of options nearby. The indoor pool came in handy when the main pool was too cold for us. The pools and pool bar were spotless. We ate lunch at the pool bar once, and it cost nearly €40, so make of that what you will.

We came very early in the year, so the heated indoor pool was much appreciated for a quiet morning swim. Paula at reception deserves a special mention. The resort in Olhos is calmer and less noisy than Albufeira's old or new towns, which suited us very well. Loule is only 10 Euro's away by Uber. Great value and staff. We'd recommend it and will be back.

The pools were freezing and really need heating. That aside, we enjoyed our October stay. Our apartment was roomy and lovely and clean, the complex is well looked after, and the bar area is good. Staff in the snack bar were friendly. There's plenty nearby in a great location, including several restaurants and a supermarket about a five-minute walk away. We'd return.

Writing this from our own sun-soaked balcony, with three nights left of our 10-night holiday. We're enjoying it so much that we'll book for next year as soon as we get home. The people and place are amazing, the food is great, and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful. It felt like home from the start, and the area also feels very safe. I can't think of anything negative to say.
