We left after just one night. The apartment was dark compared with the brightened photos, the rooms had a strange smell, and you could only get to the terrace from the top floor. The location wasn’t as advertised, and the old air conditioning sometimes stopped working or blew air that was far too cold, with no other option. It was noisy outside the whole time, and that first night was the most uncomfortable we can remember. The problems started within hours, so we decided to move. We asked the host to return just 50% of our full prepayment, but he disagreed and kept all of it. That felt very unfair. If the photos had shown the place as it really was, we never would have booked these old apartments.

The location couldn’t be better, though we expected more for the price.
