I arrived alone on Tuesday, 23 September 2025, for a seven night holiday, and have been deeply disappointed by the service, conditions, and treatment so far. I paid nearly £1,300 for a relaxing break, but instead I’ve felt unsafe, isolated, and emotionally shaken, moved between unsuitable rooms and intimidated by the manager. The hotel has been almost empty, yet the staff made me uncomfortable. Lary was the best person on staff and was able to help with my complaint. The advertised description doesn’t match what I found. The pool is very small, and there’s no cabana, despite the listing. I was first put in Room 303, which I strongly believe was or is staff accommodation. It smelled strongly of mould, and the carpets and sheets were dirty and stained. The outdoor table and chairs were filthy, with dead flies and stained cushions. The window was broken, and the room had access only from the pool area. Being next to staff rooms made it feel unsafe and unwelcoming, especially as a woman travelling alone. I raised it at once and agreed to move rooms the following day. On Wednesday morning, the 24th, manager Pablo confronted me aggressively and threatened to evict me. He accused me of having overnight visitors and demanded €120 in cash, telling me to contact the airline if I didn’t pay. My cousin and his friend had only briefly walked me back to the hotel and left soon after; nobody stayed the night. There was no visitor policy or signage given to me, and nothing about it on the website. I apologized and said it wouldn’t happen again, but he continued threatening eviction. I felt so frightened that I handed over the €70 I had, just to avoid being thrown out alone in a foreign country. They wouldn’t take a card. I strongly suspect this was an attempt to extort cash. I was left in tears, intimidated, isolated, and deeply uncomfortable. Other basic things were poor as well. Breakfast was low quality and limited to croissants, rolls, ham, and cheese. The dining area was dirty, with dead flies on the window sills. My fridge doesn’t work, so I can’t keep drinks or water cold. The Wi-Fi doesn’t work in Room 206, which I reported. I had to clean and sanitize the room myself with my own products after asking the chambermaid to vacuum. There seems to be just one employee, Lary, trying to manage reception, the bar, pool, complaints, and more. That’s highly unprofessional for a hotel at this price and standard.
