Turial Old Town Ocean View

Everything is close by, and the location is very central. The place is a bit dated, but it was clean to a high standard and had lots of space. The staff were nice. Our room was ready well before check-in, and they let us store our luggage while we waited. I'd recommend it.

This was my second stay, and the staff are the main reason I'd happily come back again next year. Everyone, from reception to the cleaning team, was so welcoming. The rooms are basic, but exceptionally clean. I can't recommend the place highly enough.

We were happy with our choice for 10 nights with our family of four, including our 2-year-old. The hotel is large, so noise from the bars depends on which room you get. We asked for a quieter one and were given a room at the back, which still had a great view. Our 2-bedroom apartment was a good size, and the large terrace with two sunloungers was a real highlight. We could enjoy the sun or sit outside in the cool evening breeze. The kitchen was small, with a stove and microwave but no oven. That was probably fine for most guests since there are lots of restaurants nearby. The apartment style is dated, but it was clean and everything worked well. More plug sockets and ceiling lights would help. We had to unplug the bedroom table lamps to charge our phones and tablets. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful with questions and requests. The indoor pool was great for a cool break from the sun. There's also a small, basic, old gym, though I imagine most guests are there to relax over food and drinks. The location is amazing. The beach is only minutes away on foot, and there's a little shop with snacks, drinks, and basic household items just 30 seconds away. The old town, with its bars, restaurants, and ice cream shops, is right there too.

We didn't get a balcony, and one of our rooms smelled like fish. Several times, somehow, we found our door open, including while we were asleep. I really don't know how that kept happening. They also charge a £100 deposit per person, which can cost more than the room itself, so bring cash.
