A Casa Dos Avós

The hosts made us feel right at home, always there when we needed them and especially attentive. A lovely, almost paradise-like place for a holiday. Thank you, Sr. João Pedro and D. Isabel. We really enjoyed meeting you, and would gladly return.

The pool has a lovely outlook over the mountains and the bay of Salir do Porto, and there’s a great bakery and a little kiosk right beside the house. It’s in a very quiet spot on the edge of a small village, but still easy to reach from the A8/N10. The house itself is traditionally furnished. I did have a serious concern in the upstairs apartment: the washing machine casing gave me an electric shock. I told the landlord, who quickly sent someone to fix it. The damaged spots were then covered with electrical tape, though, so the issue still seemed to be there. I’d only use the bathroom, toilet, and shower after unplugging the washing machine.

We had a wonderful two weeks and would definitely do it again. D. Isabel and sr. João Pedro were always around, so helpful and friendly. We liked D. Ada very much too. Thank you!

We had a great family stay here. The pool and beach were lovely, and it was well placed for exploring the area, Lisbon included. The owners were so friendly. We'll be back!
