The building is quite noisy, though it was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We didn’t get hot water because the kitchen boiler was switched off. Check that when you arrive!

The room was very basic, with a strong old damp smell and only middling cleaning. The bed, mattress, and pillow had seen a lot of use, so they were quite uncomfortable. Breakfast was reasonable, but the price felt far too high for the amenities provided.

After they confirmed my booking, they cancelled it at the last minute, claiming my credit card wasn’t valid. But they had already charged €15 as a pre-booking fee, so the card clearly wasn’t the issue. I called the number they gave me for the booking portal, "portugalférias". They checked with the accommodation and then said the real reason was a plumbing problem that had forced them to cancel. It was unethical and unprofessional. They never had the decency to call and explain, and chose to make up a lie instead. They didn’t help me sort anything out, saying everywhere nearby was full. I had to find a more expensive room, or risk sleeping on the street.

Very cramped, bare-minimum spaces. We booked and confirmed two separate beds but got one small double instead, about one and a half square. If you can find somewhere else, I wouldn’t recommend this place.
