The meal was a highlight: we had fresh tuna steak for lunch at their restaurant, the best we've ever tasted. The house was beautiful and spotless, with a well-equipped room overlooking the mill. We even got a warm welcome though we arrived well before check-in, and took a quick swim in the pool. Odeceixe is a really picturesque place. I'd give it 10 stars if I could, highly recommend.

We paid the same as our walking companions, but they got lovely, spacious rooms in the hotel with a kitchenette and somewhere to sit. Our room, number 100, was a small one up the hill past the Tapas restaurant, away from the main hotel. The shower was right beside the bed, so there was no privacy, and the kettle was where we hung our clothes. After the heavy rain, there wasn't much room to hang or dry wet things. Bins were right outside and got emptied late on Thursday night, and traffic noise was another problem.

Everything was perfect for us. It sits at the top of a hill, so be prepared for the climb. As hikers, we didn't mind.

We had a sunny day by the pool and a fabulous dinner at Naperon. Joana greeted us when we arrived, was really kind, and gave us all the information we needed. We absolutely loved our stay at Casas do Moinho. Everything was exceptional.

A small paradise, and we'd definitely come back. The place sits above the village on a hill, with a restored windmill at the end of the street. The accommodation was cozy, nicely decorated, and well equipped. Altinho and Naperon were both top-notch restaurants, and the beautiful beach at Odeceixe is a five-minute drive away. Absolutely worth a visit.
