Monte da Fome Aguda

We loved our week here and would happily come back. The rural property is very well kept, and the apartment had everything we needed. Outside, the views of the peaceful pine trees and the animals on the hill were wonderful. The donkey and Égua are beautiful, and they happily ate carrots, apples, and cabbage from our hands. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It's a lovely spot for children and very close to the beach.

The owners are lovely, though it was a shame we couldn't talk beyond the basics since they don't speak English, or we don't speak Portuguese. The cottage itself is spotless and extremely well equipped, with things like a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and toaster. It's a pleasant, quiet countryside setting above Odeceixe, with a few animals nearby, including a horse that loves cuddles. A good base for visiting several villages and beaches along the Vicentine Coast. I highly recommend it.

This place stood out among the places we stayed in Portugal. It's cozy and quiet, away from the city, and the hosts are nice. An incredible place 🫶🏻

Odeceixe beach is very close, about 4 km away. I loved the beautiful, quiet hill property, with sheep, a mare, geese, and chickens. There are swings and a small lawn for children, plus paths for adults and kids to walk along, passing a pond and lots of greenery. I recommend it, especially as there's much more to come. ♡
