For anyone hiking the fishermen’s trail, the location is excellent, just a two-minute walk from the trail. Odeceixe itself isn't somewhere I'd choose for a vacation, but I might stay here again if the host were a little more flexible. The rooms had fans, but no kettle or cups. When I asked, I was told kettles weren't allowed because the noise might bother other guests. I've stayed in five places in Portugal and several hundred around the world, and this was the first time I'd heard that. They kindly gave us hot water for tea in the evening, but said we couldn't get hot water for coffee before 7:30am, which wasn't ideal when we wanted to start a hike early. Breakfast began at 7:45am and was decent: sliced kiwi and oranges, whole bananas and apples, yogurt, fresh bread and croissants, cheese, salsicha, ham, Nutella, honey and jam, all packaged, plus cereal and two kinds of cake. Coffee and juice came from a vending machine. The coffee was really good, made with freshly ground beans.

A pleasant surprise on the edge of Odexeixe. The owner was friendly, smiling and laughing loudly. Rooms were simple, ready and clean, with a small balcony where we could dry wet clothes. Breakfast started at 7.45 and was good. A good choice, close to everything in town.

From here there's a lovely view across the fields where cows graze. The place is very well maintained, and the friendly, helpful staff served a nice breakfast with really good bread and fresh fruit.

The location is central but still quiet, and the spacious rooms were clean. Breakfast was more than adequate, and the staff were extremely friendly. I can wholeheartedly recommend this lovely place.
