The linens and mattresses were fine, but the noise made this a miserable night. A kitchen party went on past 10:30 pm, and people were still talking loudly there at 2 or 3 in the morning. The bedrooms are packed close to the kitchen, so sound carries. Earplugs might help, though people following basic rules would help more. On paper the place looks okay, and it may have been stylish and in good shape when it first opened. Now it feels worn and poorly maintained. For example, both kitchen taps are so loose they seem close to falling off. Many people staying there seem to be long-term residents rather than travelers, and the fridges are full of food like it’s their home. I can’t see how it got a 4.0 Google rating, and suspect the system was somehow rigged. To me it’s closer to a 2.0. It won’t kill you, but there must be better choices. Keep looking. If I can save one person from wasting a night here, I’ve done my job.

The desk guy was nice and gave me a quick tour, but the rooms and bathrooms were disgusting. Nothing seemed to be cleaned or maintained. Things were dirty, broken, or both, and I couldn’t last more than 20 minutes before leaving for a decent hotel through Booking. I asked for reimbursement afterward and was denied, which should have been the bare minimum. This was easily the worst hostel I’ve stayed in, by far. Don’t even try it, or you’ll regret it. I do.

The noise was so bad that I don’t know how anyone manages a night’s rest here, and the blankets needed washing. I saw ants in one of the beds, while the rooms and bathrooms were below standard. The staff, especially the owner, were very rude. I decided to leave and stay somewhere else, but the owner refused to refund my money. It was a terrible experience, and I definitely won’t return.

The bathrooms were wrecked and nothing worked properly, and I was given a bed with dirty sheets. It was also so noisy that getting any rest or peace was impossible. The staff were unpleasant, and I saw the owner yelling at staff as if they were his slaves. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
