WOT Algarve Soul

This was our second time at WOT Algarve, and we’d happily return again. The hotel was clean and well maintained, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast each morning was plentiful and delicious.

The staff were lovely and helpful, and even gave my child a plushie. The spacious apartment was a good fit for four people, with a lift and a kitchen that had the basics, including a microwave. It was easy to find, and the beach is 5 km away.

We needed somewhere for three nights before our apartment was ready, so we booked this hotel as a stopgap. The place and linen were clean, and the staff were polite and helpful. The pool area was quiet, with nice sunbeds and shades, and the car park was fine. The restaurant next door, Floresta, was great. Our two-bedroom apartment was scruffy and overpriced. The furniture was old and scuffed, the loo seat was coming off, and the kitchen was very poorly equipped with worn-out items I didn’t use. Breakfast cost €12 extra and looked poor, so I went to the local Apalonia supermarket and had a fab breakfast for less. Getting in after midnight was also a mess. I’d warned them about my late flight and asked for arrival instructions, but communication by text was confusing and I got no clear answer about which keycard was mine. I was told the cards would be in a safe outside the entrance. When I arrived, the emergency number on the notice went unanswered, and there were three cards in the safe. I took them all and had to guess which room to try. Not good. It was an emergency booking, but I wouldn’t return.

I forgot my card in the room twice, and the lady was very kind to come up and help me at 2 o’clock. I really appreciate it.
