Casa Das Lages

I expected more amenities at this guesthouse since the town is small and doesn't offer many conveniences. It's a beautiful place, but very quiet, almost like a dormitory town. We arrived on Christmas night, me, my son, and my boyfriend, and had hoped there'd at least be a guest sitting area with a water dispenser, kettle, or something similar. There was none of that, not even cups. The room only had a refrigerator. The room itself was very tidy, clean, and well organized, and the view was one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Still, I'd suggest the owners look at how they could improve their service.

It's a very peaceful place, though parking is limited. Several places of interest are nearby, including Piódão, Foz D' Égua, Poço da Broca in Barriosa, Loriga, and of course Serra da Estrela.

A simple house where a small family can stay. The internet leaves a lot to be desired, but I have no complaints about the house otherwise. Senhora Gina is very friendly and gives you all the privacy you need to rest after long hikes through one of Portugal's most beautiful areas. I recommend it.

I've been twice, two years in a row. I couldn't make it this year for health reasons, but I won't miss next year! I love the peace and this wonderful place. The house is excellent, and I've always been welcomed warmly. I recommend it.
