Pestana Alvor Beach Villas

The villa was a great fit for all five of us, with three bedrooms, plenty of space, and clean, well-kept rooms. Maids came every day to tidy and take care of it. We had a few rainy days, but it was still just the place we needed to unwind after a hectic year. The staff were amazing and so helpful, from the warm welcome at arrival to the easy check-in. We were there over New Year, and the celebrations were a blast. I danced with my wife and the kids, while the staff kept going out of their way to help us. We had a lovely breakfast every day, especially the freshly made pancakes my son loved. The snack menu at the bar worked well for teenagers, whether for lunch, a late afternoon bite, or even dinner on a couple of nights. It’s available until 10pm, and the kids devoured it when we got back late. We also had the buffet on some nights. It was well presented and maintained, with lots of choices each evening. The pool, spa rooms, and sauna were all great. My only complaint is that the stay ended too soon. I hope to return soon. Thanks to everyone who made the holiday special 🙏🙏🙏

We spent four rainy, windy January days in a ground-floor, one-bedroom apartment. The dining and living area was clean and well equipped, and the bedroom was connected and had a massive bed. A 30-second walk gets you to the coastal boardwalk, then it’s a relaxed, breezy 20-minute stroll to Alvor harbour. Reception isn’t staffed all the time, so you may need to rely on the nearby sister hotel, Dom Joao II. When our desk was occupied, Jessica was usually there, always cheerful and smiling. Faultless.

We had a fantastic Christmas break. The villa was clean, bright, spacious, and great. Breakfast was average quality, but fine. We’d happily come back.

The staff we dealt with at reception were wonderful. On arrival, we found Rosé Wine, water, and fruit, plus bathrobes and slippers in the rooms. Beach towels were supplied by the resort too. It’s a relaxing, quiet place, especially when we visited in late October. The location was perfect, right by the beach and within walking distance of Alvor town and its beautiful restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay at Pestana Beach resort.
