ALLuar Lodge

The breakfast was one of the highlights, plentiful and delicious. The view is fantastic, with both sunrise and sunset in sight. Umberto was such a welcoming, charming host that we felt at home from the moment we arrived. We had our privacy and could use the place as we wanted. It was perfect for us. We highly recommend it and will definitely return. Thanks so much!

Every morning at 9:30, a breakfast basket was brought to our cabin door. We loved it, and having a picnic in the lovely Alluar Lodge garden was great, though we wished breakfast could be delivered earlier. Our host was very friendly and welcoming. The cabin gave us the privacy we wanted, and we enjoyed the peaceful, quiet stay. It had a fully equipped kitchen and a little terrace with two chairs and a small table, perfect for sitting with the view. Space was tight for opening a suitcase comfortably, and the double bed felt a bit narrow, especially since I move around a lot in my sleep. The bathroom was clean and the shower was good, but it could use more room for toiletries. There’s a small, enjoyable saltwater pool, a barbecue, a shared living room, plenty of information and brochures about Terceira, and even homemade liqueurs. The parking area is very large, which is handy because you do need a car to explore the island.

The host was kind, helpful, and lovely, and the breakfast picnic basket was such a good idea. Everything was fresh and tasty. The views are stunning, and the place feels warm and cozy. If I come back to Terceira, I’ll definitely stay at ALLuar LODGE again.

The hosts made sure we had help with any questions or needs, and the bungalows are thoughtfully arranged and comfortable. I traveled around the Acores, and this lodge is easily one of my top stays, a rare find I’d love to return to. There’s a warm welcome, breakfast baskets with local food, a shared space with books, and a saltwater pool. The view is stunning too. A gem worth trying.
