Our hosts, Odete and Joao, were friendly and helpful. When we mentioned the cold bathroom and asked where to find firewood, they brought us a heater and wood for the fireplace that same evening. A charming cat also came by several times a day for cuddles or to sunbathe on the terrace. We loved it. The apartment was clean and had what we needed for a comfortable self-catering stay, including a good dishwasher, induction hob, kitchen appliances and a Delta capsule coffee machine, similar to Nespresso. This was our third trip to Madeira, and it's our favorite apartment so far. We'd choose it again. The southwest of the island suited us for its fairly steady, mostly sunny weather, unspoiled charm and quiet. Arco de Calheta is about 45 minutes from the airport on the motorway and well-maintained roads, but a rental car and enjoying driving are essential. We had a wonderful stay 😃

A modernized house in a great location, with a lovely garden and a calm setting. The climate is excellent too. It was always clean and had everything we needed for a weekend of rest.
