The lounge chairs are old, broken, and a serious safety risk. One collapsed under my friend while she was reclining, sending her to the ER by ambulance to a distant hospital, where she needed emergency surgery. It was the third time one of these chairs had collapsed while someone in our group was using it. I’ve repeatedly asked the hosts to remove them so no one else gets hurt, but they haven’t responded to any of my messages since the incident. That’s frustrating and disappointing. Our stay at Quinta das Secas was lovely otherwise: the property and location were gorgeous, and the hosts were kind. The house was small and quite dated, but we spent most of our time outside and liked being able to walk into Arcos.

The pool, vineyards, and trees on the quinta come together to make a perfect view. The house is cozy and comfortable, and the owners are incredibly welcoming and friendly.

We were eight people and rented the estate for three nights. The owner welcomed us so warmly, and every morning there was fresh bread and pastries left at the entrance. It’s a superb house with wonderful comfort and a breathtaking view, perfect for a peaceful, relaxing break. I can only recommend it.

The house is huge, with four well-appointed bedrooms, each with its own toilet and shower. Parking is easy to access, and the pool is maintained. Every morning at 9, the owners brought breakfast: a different cake each day, along with croissants and bread, and the fridge was stocked for a continental breakfast. The owner was very nice. We had a great holiday surrounded by well-kept vineyards and mountains stretching as far as you can see. Just magnificent. Thanks to them!
