Vumba

The staff were really helpful, and we loved the pool and its views over the countryside. The property had been hit hard by the 2017 fires, but has recovered well. We hired well maintained ebikes and had a great time riding down to the lake, where there's a nice beach, then exploring an organic winery and some lovely villages. A great place to stay.

We had a lovely two-night stay at Vumba with our family of 15, all the way from the Philippines. The kids had a great time with the activities, including shepherd for a day, cheese making, and the goat safari tractor tour. Joana prepared incredible homemade food: roast chicken, ratatouille, beef stew, seafood stew, pumpkin soup, and duck rice. The owner was friendly and involved in all the preparation. The beautiful grounds felt wonderfully calm, with lush trees and lovely scents. The rooms were comfortable and beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it for families.

Joana was always available and gave us excellent suggestions for places to visit and restaurants. Tito brought fresh rolls each morning, which made getting the day started a treat. From the moment we arrived, we felt at home in Vumba. It's a little off the beaten path, and wonderfully peaceful, with lots of style and care in the details. A comfortable, warm place where we'd love to stay again.
