The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the rooms were lovely. It’s a small, charming hotel in such peaceful scenery, with amazing views at breakfast. Everyone on staff, from reception to the breakfast team, was so lovely. I’d definitely come back.

We really appreciated the thoughtful gift of a bottle of Porto. The room was spacious and spotless, and the service was outstanding. The Douro River view is breathtaking and so peaceful. A wonderful choice for a relaxing, memorable stay, highly recommend!

The people were so nice and easy to approach, and I’d definitely come back. I loved the rooms, especially the view from the bed, like living inside a picture frame. The complimentary port wine was a lovely touch. Nothing else to say!

Waking up to the Douro River view from my room was unforgettable. The room was spotless and nicely decorated, and the service was impeccable. I had an amazing, relaxing stay at Hotel Folgosa Douro. Highly recommended for the scenery, too!

The hotel’s riverside location is perfect, and we had a wonderful stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and having more than 22 free parking spots was a huge plus. The boat packing further down the town was amazing! It’s an awesome two-floor hotel, though it wasn’t very wheelchair-accessible. The shower was the main drawback: the water was either scorching or cold, so getting a comfortable temperature was tricky. Still, we had a great experience and would recommend it for the convenient parking and lovely river setting. Sitting at the dock of the bay, just like that famous Otis Redding song.
