This beautiful holiday complex has 11 hectares, surrounded by countryside, with olive trees, cork trees and other types, and mainly vineyard. A paradise in the middle of Alentejo, accommodation and activities that provide rest days and communion with the surrounding nature. With 5 bedrooms and 2 apartments, the decoration of the house is sober, but refined, with colors of the countryside and high quality material. The private outdoor shower each room is the ex-libris that invites refreshing dips in the hottest days. The goal is to provide unforgettable stays that ensure comfort, quality and a great desire to return to the place that was once happy.

The pool was much appreciated on those warm days, and the two ladies who run Monte da Esperança were so lovely. When we mentioned our early departure before breakfast, they even gave us yoghurt and fresh fruit. We had a great stay. Thanks for everything!

We came back in 2026 after staying here in 2024, when none of this happened. The hotel expects guests to make their own beds, and room cleaning is unavailable unless guests request it. None of this is disclosed on your booking, and I would never choose a hotel where I had to do those jobs. We only found out in the room, after paying in full with no chance to cancel. I have never encountered anything like this anywhere in the world. I’ve already complained to ASAE and through the complaints book, and I’m also submitting this complaint to GOOGLE.

A positive experience overall, and a very good choice if you want somewhere quiet to rest. The place is very clean, but rooms aren’t tidied or cleaned during the stay. The apartments’ kitchens could be better equipped, as some dishes were a little dirty. Breakfast starts a bit late, at 9, and there’s no option to get food during the day, even something light.

The hosts were exceptionally warm and attentive, always ready to help, and that Alentejo hospitality really made a difference. Breakfast was so good you wanted more. Quinta Monte da Esperança is a real gem in Alto Alentejo, with a beautiful, carefully maintained setting, comfortable rooms and tasteful rustic decor. The pool and gardens make it easy to relax. It’s well placed for exploring the Arronches area or simply switching off from the world. We’d love to return, and highly recommend it.
