The ocean is right across the street, and the view is unbelievably beautiful. I treated my stay like a creative retreat. The room felt so calming, with thoughtful little details in the colors and textures. I loved the rooms, the location, and of course, the breakfast.

I booked three nights for November 2025, but the hotel cancelled about a week before our stay because of “necessary maintenance.” I understood, asked for a refund, and booked an Airbnb instead. They sent a receipt for the refund, but the money never showed up on my card, so I had to dispute the original charge with my bank. Just a heads-up to others that they might cancel your stay and still not refund you.

We loved how peaceful it was on the terrace at night, and if you get a room with one, you may even hear the waves from there. The bed was soft, the rainfall shower was a treat, and the rooms were stylish and comfortable. There isn’t really a wardrobe for hanging clothes, though we didn’t mind. The beach and sheltered swimming spot below the high sea cliffs are only a few minutes’ walk away, and the evening sound of the ocean is lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was fresh, plentiful, and had plenty of variety. The setting is gorgeous, about a 45-minute drive from Lisbon airport, and the value is hard to beat. Parking was a little odd, but it was easy enough to find a spot on the street that didn’t block a driveway. I honestly can’t believe this place doesn’t cost twice as much.

The room was great, and I’d only add a small fridge for keeping a few things in it. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was tasty, and the room was comfortable. The location is a bit hilly, but it’s easy to get to.
