The staff were helpful and nice, and the twin room had enough space for two, with its own shower bathroom. It’s a hostel in a traditional Alentejo manor. Breakfast was semi-continental, with cereal, coffee and tea, ham and cheese, and a loaf of bread, but no fresh bread. A very good base for a couple of days exploring Beja and the surrounding area.

For the low price, it’s okay. Walkers will find the location convenient, but drivers may have to park farther away. The area gets busy, and parking is limited to 90 minutes between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. There’s no breakfast in the house, though plenty of options are within walking distance. Wi-Fi is free, but extremely slow.

I was in Beja with a friend who had an appointment with Beja SEF, and I really enjoyed staying at this hostel. At night it felt like being at home. It’s right in the center of Beja, with everything within easy reach.

There were insects in the bed, so I couldn’t sleep there and had to find somewhere else late at night. It was a horrible experience. They promised a full refund, but I never got it, and they didn’t even reply to the reports sent through Booking support. I’m shocked by how unprofessional this was.

The staff were helpful, and there are plenty of useful features, including free breakfast and Wi-Fi and access to a shared kitchen. It’s a lovely hostel in a central location, clean and generally well maintained.
