The one thing we appreciated was having complete freedom during our stay. Everything else was a letdown. We found bedbugs, and some of us were bitten all over. The place was dirty and poorly maintained, there were no towels or cooking supplies, and the lock was broken. Someone with a key for another hostel even came into our accommodation. I stayed for about two or three weeks while doing Erasmus. The photos had made it look fantastic, but seeing the place in person completely changed my mind. If you want one of the worst places to spend your trip, go to bracara hostel. I have photos to back up what I said.

The beds felt too short for tall people, and the stairs were really loud. Still, I'd definitely stay again. The staff were lovely, the rooms were nicely decorated and clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed.

The rooms are on the small side, though comfortable, and the bathrooms could use a bit more upkeep. It was well priced, with a basic breakfast included. The location is great, parking on the street out front was adequate, and the staff were friendly and always ready to help.

The landlord was kind and available whenever we had questions. The hostel has a kitchen, dining room, three floors and an outdoor garden, with a bit of Portuguese style to it. It's only 800m from the center of Braga. I'd definitely recommend it.

My first visit to braga was a really positive experience, and staying here made it even better. Mr. Jorge (owner) was so lovely and helpful, and the rest of the hostel staff were friendly and ready to help too. I was very happy with my stay and would suggest this hostel to anyone visiting braga.
