I had a wonderful one-night stay at this hostel. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly, especially the manager, who made me feel very welcome. Great value for money. I highly recommend it!

The location is perfect, right in the historic city center, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's an old house with style, and for the price it was a really good experience. My bed made a lot of noise, though. The kitchen kettle was a bit small, but that wasn't a problem.

Our trip was ruined by a last-minute cancellation. My friends and I had booked a room for two nights and said we'd arrive at 15:00. At 14:30 on check-in day, just half an hour before we were due, I got an email saying the booking was cancelled. When I called, they said they'd overbooked and there was nothing they could do. No apology or explanation, just a refusal to help. It was 15 August, and we couldn't find anywhere else at such short notice, so we had to drive three hours home. They hadn't called or warned us in advance. I had to phone them myself to find out our reservation had suddenly been cancelled. A quick courtesy call earlier that day could have saved us this nightmare. The lack of communication and consideration was unacceptable. I strongly advise against booking here. They seem to put overbooking ahead of customer service, and these last-minute cancellations can have serious consequences. It was incredibly stressful and disappointing.

You can walk to just about everything from this centrally located hostel. The owner was friendly and helpful, especially when there was a problem with the beds or room. I was moved from a 4-bed dorm that eventually became a 5-bed dorm into a private room. The bathroom was clean enough. Both rooms need some renovation and improvement, but it was fine given the hostel had only been open for seven months. I'd recommend it for a short stay.
