Sir Manuel Guest House - Sao Vicente

I wouldn't recommend this place at all. The room was tiny, like a prison cell, and had no natural light. There was only a small, unreachable window high up on the wall, with mold around it. The bathroom had mold too, the sink was broken, and there was rust everywhere. The bed was very small and nearly broken. A bad smell lingered throughout, even in the shared areas, and the communal kitchen wasn't clean.

A clean place for a short stay, close to the city center.

The roof was covered in cigarette butts, and there was a bottle of water up there that looked like it could fall into the street at any moment and hurt someone. Noise carries between the rooms too, so you can hear people showering or talking. From the moment we walked in, there was a horrible damp smell from the bathroom, and it followed us the whole stay. The ceiling had damp patches, and the bathroom itself smelled bad. The bed was the most uncomfortable I've ever slept in, and my back still hurt days later. There was just one sheet, and it looked too small for the bed, barely covering half of it. Worst of all, a blanket in the wardrobe had an unidentified brown stain that clearly hadn't been cleaned. I love Braga and I'll come back, but I won't stay here again or recommend this accommodation.

There was hair from other people all over the bathroom, on the shower tray and the walls. Basic hygiene was completely lacking, and that ruins anything good an apartment might have going for it.
