We loved it. The site is quiet and clean, with good bathroom facilities, and the pitches are spread out enough to give you privacy. Some are quite steep, so bring levellers, though not every pitch is like that. The restaurant serves pleasant, rustic food at reasonable prices. There are good walks nearby, and the roads are so quiet it seems like a great place for cycling. There’s also drive-over waste disposal for vans.

The site has walks right from it, and Braganca is about €10-15 away by taxi. The restaurant is good, especially the piri piri chicken, and the place is amazingly clean, even the buns were new! Fado music in the showers is a nice touch. Laundry service costs €20 for an 8 kg wash and dry. The only catch is the 6 amp supply, so make sure you have gas for heating.

We came back this week after our first stay ten years ago, and both visits were perfect. Lovely setting, lovely staff, and the modern facilities are super clean. The restaurant and bar were exceptionally pleasant, as were the reception staff. They run this campsite with real pride, a model of how it should be done.

We stayed for two nights in a beautiful forest setting on the edge of the natural park area. The owners were super friendly, and the facilities were excellent, including a sparkling clean pool, bar, restaurant and BBQ area. The food and wine were extremely good and great value. I’d highly recommend the campsite.

The pool being open in October was a bonus. It was a little chilly, but swimming in the late afternoon sunshine was great. We had pitch No9, which is very large and has a view. The campsite is beautifully located, with good facilities and nice pitches. Reception gave us a warm welcome, everyone was friendly, and there are plenty of hilly walks nearby.
