Village Cabo Girao

The villa and its rooms really need renovating. It felt very outdated, and although the listing showed AC, none of the units in our villa worked. The location is beautiful, and the property is very well kept, with lovely landscaping and an amazing view.

The sea views and location are stunning, and we really enjoyed our stay. There’s a lot to do on site, including pools, tennis, table tennis, bowls, and plenty of indoor games. We especially liked the paella night, the BBQ night, and happy hour each evening. The staff were all friendly and helpful, with good advice for getting around Madeira. We’ll definitely come back.

The setting is stunning, and the staff were so friendly. Our two-bedroom apartment worked perfectly for our family of four. We had a great stay and will definitely come back!

The apartment was spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed the terrace views. Reception were really nice and helpful, and there were plenty of things to do, like ping pong, chess and pool. The downside was the SPA. We booked because we hoped to unwind in the sauna or jacuzzi after sightseeing, but the pool and jacuzzi water were cold, and the sauna barely produced any steam even after we left it heating for half an hour. We’d seen older comments about the low temperatures and assumed it would have been sorted, but it hadn’t. We only used the SPA once all week, so keep that in mind if it’s your main reason for booking. The hotel is on a pretty steep mountain, which makes getting up and down to other parts of the island take a while. Aside from that, everything was great.
