The restaurant was good quality, and the whole grounds are very well maintained. Staff at reception, in the restaurant and with room service were all very friendly. The houses are a good size for four people and have a well equipped kitchen. It would be handy to have a few basic spices in the kitchen, since most visitors arrive by plane.

We stayed on a half-board basis and had a great time. Dinner had a good selection every evening, and the staff were friendly and pleasant. They even had a birthday surprise delivered to our villa. Excellent service and a top-class resort, thanks again!

We spent two nights here, then two at Tivoli and two at 3HB, and this was the place I liked best for the value. The others had things like views, but were quite expensive. We’ll definitely come back and stay longer next time. It was our first visit and everything felt wonderful: well equipped, clean and comfortable, at a very reasonable price. My kids loved both the indoor and outdoor pools, and the water temperature was perfect in mid-October. I really love this place!

The resort is a great spot, close to several towns, and Uber works well and is cheap. Our villa was huge, so it felt like good value. The pool area was excellent, and there’s also a spacious gym. We had a lovely first dinner, with a friendly and helpful server. But on another day, my husband was ignored by four people at the bar and had to ask twice for the menu. An older staff member, probably a supervisor, laughed with the others. He was quite rude and spoiled the mood for us, so we decided to leave. Generally a great place, despite that experience.

We had a great stay at Vale da Lapa. The accommodation, facilities, food and service were all great. When flight cancellations meant we had to improvise with our booking, the staff were flexible and helped us out. They also printed homework for our kids, all with a smile. Thanks so much!
