Maria made this a special stay by opening her beautiful chalet and sharing part of her family's history. It felt both charming and regal, almost like a palace, with lovely decor throughout. My family and I felt at home and had all the comforts we needed. The rooms were updated, with king-size beds and wonderful bathroom showers. Each morning Maria had breakfast and the table beautifully set up for us, and she baked us a cake every day. Chiqui, the loving and friendly Portuguese water dog, was the cherry on top. We hugely recommend the experience and hope to return someday.

The garden and pool view was lovely, and even the smallest room we booked felt spacious. Breakfast was a treat, especially the cakes the host baked herself. Chalet Ficalho was an amazing stay, and I’d recommend it if you want a quieter residential part of Cascais.

The grounds are gorgeous, and the people here are so welcoming. It’s family-run, with free water, tea, and home-baked treats provided. I’ve stayed at plenty of hotels, but this one is easily my favorite. I’d love to come back someday, maybe for a honeymoon.

It feels peaceful and tucked away, even though Chalet Ficalho is right in the center of Cascais. The garden and elegant old villas nearby add to the charm. This boutique hotel has a timeless, slower pace that made it such a relaxing, stylish getaway.

Maria and the staff made us feel right at home and really pampered us. The food, place to sleep, people, and atmosphere were all amazing. Thank you, Maria, for such a lovely experience. This is now one of my favorite places to stay, and we’ll be back. Love from Betty and Radu ❤️
