The booking had the wrong address, and Uber couldn’t get to the location, so we had to walk down a cobblestone street. Once we found the right place, we knocked outside for several minutes, but nobody was there and our booking information had no door code. A guest from one of the houses arrived with a code, which got us inside, but no one was there to take our bags. We went upstairs looking for luggage lockers, but there weren’t any. Behind the desk were shopping totes with dirty dishes and trash. It began raining, and we were already late for a lunch reservation. We tried booking another Bounce location, but it was too far to reach in the rain over cobblestones. We ended up dragging our luggage to the restaurant, which was embarrassing. We’d planned to spend several hours in Cascais but decided to take an Uber back to Lisbon instead. Don’t waste your time in Cascais. The beach is small and ugly.

The location was lovely, with great restaurants and shops nearby, but problems with the facilities and the lack of follow-up from staff overshadowed the stay. The bathroom had a persistent, strong sewer smell, so bad it made me nauseous. After long, hot days out, coming back to it was deeply unpleasant when all I wanted was to freshen up and relax. I told the hotel early in my stay and was promised someone would look into it, but nobody came. A staff member later asked if I needed towels, and I mentioned the smell again. Still nothing was done. The air conditioning also stopped working at one point, making the hot, humid conditions worse. It’s a shame, because the location has so much potential. The lack of attention to basic maintenance and failure to follow through on my concerns left me disappointed. I hope management takes this seriously, since these issues significantly affected what could otherwise have been a pleasant stay.

We loved our night here. The room was beautiful, and it’s only a minute from the sea, with everything in Cascais walkable. Luciano was amazing, super friendly and helpful. We’d definitely recommend staying here and would come back!

The spacious rooms were well appointed, and the people working there were kind, helpful, and very accommodating. The location suited me well because I had an appointment around the corner. In high season, though, the shopping area it’s in could make things noisy.
