The room was lovely, and having a private fridge and a shared kitchen was really handy. Everything is an easy walk from there. I needed extra pillows because of a back injury, and they brought them just two minutes after I asked. Brilliant.

The rooms were tidy and nicely presented, and the communal kitchen worked well for breakfast. It’s a handy base for the city, with the castle about a nine-minute walk away and the cathedral and other sights even closer.

The kitchen and pantry are set up so you can make your own food and drinks, and the room itself was excellent quality. Service is mostly handled at reception, after which you’re on your own. It’s very close to the central area of Castelo Branco, and a good price for such a wonderful place.

The owner checks in with guests regularly, and the place is cleaned every day. It has a fresh, new look, a fully equipped kitchen, and a very good location. This is easily the best guest house I’ve stayed in, and I’ll definitely return.

Right in the centre of Catelo Branco, this is a clean, reasonably priced hotel with a friendly owner. We enjoyed using the shared kitchen, dining and TV area, and I’d definitely stay again if I’m in the area.
