The owner was lovely and really helpful, and the ocean view was beautiful. It’s in a very quiet spot, with clean facilities, cute bunk beds and a kitchen that’s well equipped.

The house itself had everything we needed and a gorgeous view, but the welcome on arrival in Faial was disappointing. The owner never spoke to us or explained the information and procedures you need when arriving somewhere new. The location is also really bad if you don’t have your own transport.

The rooms were very affordable, and there’s a good, inexpensive bakery about 1 km away. We had a lovely, cozy place with a beautiful sea view from the balcony, and the staff member was friendly. I really have nothing to complain about.
